LECTOR:

Purpose:
A ministry which provides for well-trained readers/proclaimers of God's Word at parish liturgies. Training is required and preparation important.

A well-trained lector can touch and move the whole assembly, serving as an instrument of God's grace. Lectors are usually assigned once or twice monthly (at the Mass of your choice) and are mailed copies of the readings about 10 days in advance to provide for ample preparation time.
